Catching up: Eventer Will Coleman has been selected for Winter Training which is great! Oliver Townsend has finally moved into Gadlas Farm in Shropshire, UK with Helen Wilkinson. The horse he rode at Fair Hill, Three Wishes, that he bought from Buck Davidson will be joining him there, despite their unsuccessful first outing. The Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI-W/Y has chosen Beverly Zimmer's sculpture of the Mary Ann McPhail's Dutch Warmblood stallion Top Gun for the cover of the 2009 program. For 26 years, the Derby has been recognized for its cover artwork. Beverly's magnificent bronze horse head sculpture is an elegant addition to the art that has graced the cover. This is her first time being selected for the cover. Writer/ Rider Tami Hoag is heading east again after a summer in California. Her horses are already at their new Taja Mah-Stall at Andy Shaller's farm in Wellington. Tami and the pooches are settling into her new house in Palm Beach Polo and Country Club. One by one the flock is returning to Florida for the season! A reverse snowbird, PR pal, Vey Martini (and her little dog, too - Banks) are relocating to Keswick, Virginia to live at Stonebridge Farm. Vey is planning to still dabble in Equine PR and enjoy her friends in hunt country.
Kudos to Cetty Wiess and her Wiess Family Chiropractic Center for once again stepping up to plate in support of our Adult Amateur riders. Cetty has once again agreed to provide the ribbons for the Adult Amateur Winter Championships presented by The Paddock Saddlery. Cetty's good deed did not go unrewarded as her horse, Finn was in the winner's circle recently with trainer, Shannon Dueck. Congratulations to all! A big hug to Carla Morrison, Oded Shimoni and Tuny Page for stepping up to help Jason Canton after his untimely stroke. Oded is training Grandioso and Carla and Tuny are making sure he has a nice stall in the Stillpoint neighborhood until Jason is ready to take over the reins again.
