Catching Up: Terri Brennan checked in recently to say that after a five year break of concentrating on foxhunting and eventing, she's back playing polo - in Nigeria! "I'm here on business," she says, and "they are mad for the game - there are two clubs in the city I'm based in!! The club I'm playing at has horses from Argentina, and hey also have the most amazing "little" horses from the Sudan that play - really quite something! The head pro at the club just got MVP for the last tourney he played and was raised to 5 goal - the highest for a Nigerian! They have hosted the world army tourney, and have a charity tourney for UNICEF. So there you have it, polo in west Africa!!"

A friend ran into Scott Lancaster, polo pro/polo club manager/polo instructor in Florida recently and tells us that he's no longer managing San Diego Polo Club. Scott-if you read this, let us know what's up! Always interested in what you're doing!

Tim Gannon's, of Outback Polo, daughter Kathleen recently graduated from University of Miami in December and is now working for WEF. Talk about a dream job for a horsewoman! Congratulations Kathleen!

Randy Russell says he recently received dozens upon dozens of thank you notes from Military spouses from Fort Gordon Army Base. "We sponsored a Valentines Day party for the spouses and children of deployed soldiers to help cheer them up while their husbands were overseas. Fort Gordon tells me that holidays are especially tough times for the spouses. This is just one of the many things we are doing with the money raised from the Ford Trucks Equestrian America Balloon Festival." Randy says he's also working on day trips and family outings for wounded soldiers based in Fort Gordon. Way to go, Randy!

Pippa Grace says she's been asked to invite six ambassadors to play in Pakistan the third week of March. Ambassadors will need to cover the cost of their flights and to be able to ride any level of pony that might be lent by one of the club members over there. They'll be playing in a series of three matches combing with their only two women players and serving as an inspiration to other women in the country to perhaps take up the sport. Sounds like fun, and we're hoping for a complete, after-the-fact report.
