We've been getting lots of compliments lately on all the fun stories in Sidelines. This issue is no exception.
The Palm Beach Dressage Derby celebrates its 25th anniversary, the Del Mar Classic is going strong. I know you'll enjoy the coverage of both. Chris Hickey is interviewed by Amber Heintzberger, and former Sidelines editor Mary Hilton has Five Questions for Mary Ross about The Challenge of the Americas. All in all, there's lots of dressage in this issue!
I'd like to welcome Catie Staszak as our new Junior Perspective columnist. She's starting her second year at the WEF, and her introductory column will no doubt hit home for many of our junior readers. Jan Westmark visits with Hasbrouck Donovan and Katelyn Hess, two juniors worth watching so you can say you remember them when.
Lauren Giannini did an outstanding tribute to Eve Fout, was mightily entertained by polo announcer Cowboy Bob, and explores life after the track for Recycled Thoroughbreds.
Lanah Hamilton covers the Argentine Open as her first contribution to these pages.
The National Horse Show was all the buzz in December, and we have the action captured - and the parties covered. Our regular columnist all have 'good stuff' to share this issue as well.
I'm sure you'll find reason to settle down and enjoy - and a reminder for all you commuting WEF-ers, Sidelines makes a great airplane read and conversation starter!
Until next month,
Cornelia Bernard Henderson
