A simple question: One problem was fixed a couple of years ago when USPA started rating players handicaps twice a year rather than annually. This helps to cut down on "ringers", players playing above their handicap for a time. BUT, what do you do about the pros who don't travel and the club won't touch their handicaps? This drives the cost of polo up at some clubs and pros aren't playing their rating, very unfair to the patrons who are paying their salary. So what's a player to do?
Club News: The big news from the Kingston Polo Club is that Paul Lalor, Secretary of the Jamaica Polo Association and the Kingston Polo Club, is engaged to his long time Trinidadian girlfriend Heidi Stollmeyer. We have to mention another favorite 10 of ours - Tim O'Connor is back after an absence from the polo scene. Welcome home, Tim!
The Stork Report: There is a rush of pregnancies among the lady players. Kirsty Waters Outhier (Texas - 2 goals) had her second child, Ace, on December 8th. Sarah Van Wyck (South Africa - 2 goals) is pregnant with her second child and Milly Scott (UK - 2 goals) is pregnant with her first child.
