Club News: If you really want to know where the biggest party of the summer was this year it would have to be in Wichita at the new Great Plains Equestrian Center and Fairfields Polo Club that Jack Shelton opened this summer. They restored a beautiful barn from the 1800s to function as a meeting spot and office for the new polo school. After being near death after a motorcycle crash in May, Claudio Manfrin has been taken off a respirator and his condition is improving. He remains in a hospital in Perris, CA. Luis Funes, barn manager for La Pampa Stable and regular in the Hamptons, was injured July 12, suffering injuries that may keep him out of work for at least 9 months.
