OFF CENTERLINE

You’re never too young to volunteer! It takes an army of enthusiasts to run
the Rolex CCI**** at Kentucky Horse Park. These horse-crazy kids were
part of the arena crew during dressage, braving rain one day and chilly winds
the next: front to back, l-r: Anna, JT, Hannah, Leela, Brook, Emily, Eastyn,
Becky Liz, Anna, Gabi, and Tillie. To find out how you can help, visit www.rk3de.org

Aikenite Valerie Sweigert says she’s taking clinics with Gunnar Ostergaard every couple months, and riding with Amy McElroy and keeping her head under the radar! Valerie just got her USDF Bronze and recently imported a horse from Holland. Next goal? Silver, of course!

Birthday Girl Karin Offield celebrated by cooking dinner for her friends, all hard core Palm Beach Polo Club residents that stay in Florida after the season. Robert Dover, Milo Mott and husband David, Jon Grimes and fiance Tara, Johnny and Jackson Robb and Nan Sexton were among those helping Karin blow out the candles. Karin admitted that she had spent time at a cooking school while training in New Jersey with Robert last summer. Hopefully she will augment her talents this summer. Her Dressage buddies can’t wait for her next effort!

And speaking of Amy McElroy, if you saw a rowdy crowd of DQs at the Bowery in Aiken toward the end of May, well . . . somebody had a birthday!
